HSBC again

HSBC: The saga goes on.

Now up to the other day I have not blamed the staff of HSBC for having two windows in what must be one of the busiest banks in the area.

We are a corporate client to HSBC so we do not bank just a few pounds. I am the one you hate… I am the one that arrives at the window with enough work for the bank tellers for 30/45 minutes, don’t you just hate me.

But why me, why do you hate me for holding up the queue? I did not make the decision to make two windows out of five and give bad service.
So why should I be made to feel that everybody in the queue behind me would like to put a knife between my shoulder blades.

On previous blog the issue has been the queue to pay in, like 45 minutes long. So I came up with this cunning plan. Instead of queuing daily I would queue once or twice a week, ( I haven’t told the Director of my cunning plan as I am sure he would not approve) therefore instead of queuing 4 x 45min I only queue 1 or 2 x 45min.

This teller decided to warn me that if I bring in 4/5 days of banking in again and hold up the queue they would not do the work. COW

So, let us see when I challenge her with six days takings and slow the queue down for one hour.

Speed up the queue and I will go back to status quo. Speaking to the manager does not help.. Down to people power

My Country House

My Country House.

Bored in the office

One quiet afternoon walking to the bank my mind was travelling at great speed.

I stopped on the spot and asked the question, “am I standing in the future or am I standing in the past or the present”.
Okay...if you are not in the future or in the past you must be in the present and if you are in the present where does the future start and the past end and if it is now, that means you cannot be in the present, you must be in the future. This was my little quiz walking to the bank bored.

This question entertained me and my assistant for two days…. Work…. Forget it.
We debated the question inside out using the net to solve our arguments.
I have to say when we eventually put it to bed I believe I understood my assistant better and I confused him.

So I leave you with this.

The past is history, the future is a mystery. Today is a gift. That is why we call it the “PRESENT”

ONLY THE PRESENT IS REAL

Water

Sat in the waiting room of my doctors quite a few years ago on the wall was this sentence.

WATER
It holds the key to health and we hold the key to healthy water
What a true statement

What is the point of this:
Destroy the man that seeks the truth or to destroy the truth so that no man can seek it..

X-files last episode.

To all you writers

The great problem of the writer is that if you do anything else you have no time to write, and, if you don't, you have nothing to write about.

Thats me

HSBC

If you have read any of my blog you would have read about HSBC, the queue that is always about 45mins long. Well every time I go to the bank it is 45 mins long, so I must be either very unlucky or the queue is always there.

45min queue is out the front door, 4 people inside the bank will work out to be about 35mins long.
So, I have a new game while I am in the queue in the bank.. It starts like this: One or two sighs then followed by: my god I will have something to blog about tonight about HSBC. I then start a conversation with as many people that I can get to join in explaining that I have written to the Bank Manager complaining about the length of the queue but nothing has been done over the past 6 months so now I blog the HSBC and with the power of the net… well who knows what might happen. If a 78 yr old man on youtube can in one week make a little history, let us see if we can get the largest bank in the world to do something for the individual customer.

Last week on a warm day and a fast walk to the bank made me a little hot, but not to worry the bank is air conditioned, whoops not that day when I get to the window after queuing for 45 mins I made a comment about the air con breaking down on such a hot day, one of the two till girls said no it is not broken she doesn’t like it on so she switched it off, I turn around and looked at the 20 plus people in the queue plus the 10/20 over people around and all the staff that was on duty and in a loud voice “what, you have turned the air con off because YOU do not like it on…. I then said WHAT about the customers that pays your wages”. Guess what, she did not turn the air con…cow.

I must stand up for the lovely girls that work in the bank; they really have a stressful working day. Can you imagine the stress the girls have, a long queue most of the day with all kinds of people getting upset. I hear some very strong and rude comments about the girls and I have to say that have always defended them. As I say to the person making the comment, if you have a problem talk to the bank Manager leave the girls alone they are workers doing the best they can do with the tools they have.

My comments are directed, directly at HSBC Corp, the company that’s making billions from us and delivering poor service.. I am a strong believer in voting with my feet but unfortunately my account is a corporate account and I do not have the last say, this is the best I can do.
