My big sister

We were like twins but not real twins. There is about 13 months between us but when were growing up people asked our mother if we were twins, of course I am the best looking of the two and that is because I have never smoked and my sister smokes like chimney.

She is an artist; she has been painting for the past 8 years. She lives near the sea and sells mainly to tourists, so she paints a lot of “blues” known by the artists in the area. Blues mean 50% white sandy beach and 50% blue sky with a dot or two on the sand representing people. Of course this is not the only thing she does …. You should see her painting of Stonehenge for me. She painted it with so much feeling that it feels so real.
That could be because when we were children we played on the stones at Stonehenge and I commissioned her to paint it for me, so I was a little upset when I found out that she had prints made from it.

She now has two galleries, although they are not situated in prime locations I think it will give her great experience.

Why am I writing about my sister, she emailed me a photo today of a painting that she was finishing off last Sunday when I was with her at her gallery and I was wondering how to help her sell her paintings? She puts so much effort into the paintings and she sells them at such a low prices. If it was me I would wonder if whether it was worth continuing.

I know that my sister is an artist and she would love to make a living out of it and is trying hard but even if there was not a living out of painting she would still paint.

She is a wonder person, kind helpful and caring and she would give you her cloths off her back if you need it more than she did, in fact she is always helping someone somewhere, mainly a niece, nephew, a son, a daughter or our small brother. Her new thing is giving young children pleasure in painting, she charges a very small fee to help towards the expensive paints and card but for that the children get to keep their painting. This weekend she spent so much time telling me all about the children, their art work, the finished painting and then she pulled out a photo album of pictures of children standing proudly holding their painting.

I want you, all of you to know that my sister is great and I hope one day that her paintings stand for something and she will be able to paint what she wants and give pleasure to those who buy her paintings. So far she has painting in America, Canada and Europe....Next the world..
I am going to put her painting from last sunday on this blog.

Keep smile and the world will smile with you.
