RB Day
Sunday early mornings is my rollerblading day. Today was my first morning of the season, I normally put my blades away in Oct until April, and at my age water on the path is a nono. I spend about 1½ blading around a large London Park then drive back and start work for the day. But you guessed it, first day back on the blades today....oh my legs ache.
A couple of weeks ago I had a wonderful day in London, a friend and I walked from 10.00am until 8.30pm.. little windy but the sun shone for us most of the day.
The first 45 mins was spent on the River Thames shore line in the mud looking for anything. My friend found a clay pipe, cast iron mask and lots of small bits and pieces.
My great find was a hammer, I let my mind runaway with the thought.... what was the hammer used for... why did it end up in the Thames... but I expect someone dropped it over board.
I found a mug, at first, I thought I would put it back into Father Thames but this wicked thought went through my mind, take it home, clean it and anytime I get a guests I would offer coffee in it... I am smiling as I write this... especially when I tell them I found it in the Thames.
I had to be the first to drink from it, I made myself a camomile tea and yes I also pulled a face knowing that 12hrs ago it was at the bottom of the Thames.
Look I have to dash, an appointment has arrived.
Keep smiling,
